The Department of Kannada at R.P.A. First Grade College, in addition to teaching Kannada curriculum, has been conducting several commendable programs aimed at inculcating a taste for literature and cultural values among students. To encourage students’ creative writing, the department has launched a periodical titled “Avalokana.” Alongside academics, it has given importance to extracurricular activities as well.
The periodical features students’ original works such as poems, short stories, plays, humorous pieces, drawings, and other areas of interest. Through this, the Kannada Department functions as a platform that supports the holistic development of students.
Thus, the Kannada Department has successfully organized seminars on various topics at both state and national levels. The department has evolved in all aspects and stands as a culturally exemplary department.
