Department Of Science
The Department of Science(PMCs/PCM) was established in the year 1993 along with the establishment of college. The staff is well qualified with MSc/ MPhil/ MTech Degrees and published many papers at both state and National level. In addition to this department regularly conducts competitions, workshops, seminars and science exhibition to keep students acquainted with the current technology of science. This initiation of the department has meet the students to enrich the innate skills to face the competitive world.

Department of Mathematics
About the Department
Mathematics is fundamental to all branches of science, enabling researchers to analyze data, develop models, and understand natural phenomena. It serves as the universal language of science, allowing for precise quantification and logical reasoning in research. By using mathematical tools, scientists can formulate theories, conduct experiments, and make predictions about the world around us.
Vision and Mission
The vision of the new Mathematics syllabus (under the SEP / NEP) is to:
Remedy math-phobia among students through hands-on experience and engaging learning.
Improve retention and understanding of mathematical concepts.
Connect mathematics to modern applications using software tools.
Help students enjoy and appreciate mathematics as a logical and powerful discipline.
The mission of the program includes:
Helping students build interest and confidence in mathematics.
Developing a spirit of inquiry and logical thinking.
Encouraging students to pose and solve meaningful problems using abstract ideas.
Using free/open source tools (FLOSS) like Python, Scilab to enhance conceptual understanding.
Orienting students toward applications of mathematics in science, technology, economics, etc.
Aims
To highlight the significance of mathematics in scientific research and its applications.
To explore the role of mathematical models in understanding and solving real-world problems.
To provide a platform for discussing mathematical techniques used in various scientific fields.
To encourage collaboration between mathematicians and researchers from different scientific disciplines.
Objectives
To facilitate discussions on mathematical methods used in data analysis and scientific modelling.
To demonstrate the impact of mathematics in fields such as physics, biology, chemistry, and engineering.
To promote the development and use of mathematical tools for problem-solving in research.
To engage students and researchers in mathematical reasoning and scientific inquiry.
To inspire innovative approaches in scientific research through mathematical applications.
Department Library
The Department of Mathematics has a well-maintained department library to support teaching, learning, and academic activities. The library contains a good number of textbooks and reference books covering core areas such as Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics. The department library also includes previous years’ question papers and competitive examination books, which are helpful for students’ academic progress and higher studies.
Students and faculty members can access the department library during working hours. The library promotes self-learning, problem-solving skills, and academic excellence among students.
